Every motor vehicle liability policy issued for delivery in Oregon that covers any private passenger motor vehicle is required by Oregon statutes to provide the above-mentioned benefits. The named insured and family members residing in the same household are entitled to these benefits, even if those persons are injured as bicyclists or pedestrians not using the insured motor vehicle. These benefits are referred to as Personal Injury Protection (PIP) benefits.
