Woman sues Nail Salon after Infection leads to Leg Amputation

A woman is suing a Portland nail salon, claiming that it is responsible for an infection that resulted in her leg being amputated. She received a pedicure and states that the employee cut her toe while removing calluses. She claims the cut then bled extensively, and resulted in an infection. This infection led to her having to have her leg amputated.

Some issues that may arise are whether she had any pre-existing medical condition that would have increased the likelihood of an infection like this. Certain conditions decrease sensitivity in feet and make it difficult for individuals to know they have an infection until it is too late.

The woman is seeking $30,000.00 in medical expenses and $250,000 in pain and suffering. Contact a Salem personal injury lawyer today.
